CGCC Arnold Electric Company Tour & Class

Join us for a tour of the Arnold Electric Company with owner, Jack Arnold, followed by age appropriate hands-on workshops.


Two age groups:

Ages 4-7, 9:00am - 10:00am

Ages 8 - 16, 10:30am - 11:30am


Cost: Free!

Registration limited to 10 children for each age group. Adults must stay with child[ren].


Ages 4-7 Activities:

  • 30 minutes with business owner, Jack Arnold talking to students about different aspects of the electrical construction industry. Includes different career opportunities, safety equipment show and tell, tool show and tell during 30 min. plus  Q&A. 
  • 2nd half of the hour will be hands on experiments with wiring in circuits, measuring voltages, testing continuity on various materials. All experiments are safe with DC batteries. 

Ages 8-16 Activities:

  • 30 minutes with business owner, Jack Arnold talking to students about different aspects of the electrical construction industry. Career opportunities will be discussed. A more in depth look at how our business is ran opposed to other sectors in the industry.  Plus Q&A
  • 2nd half of the hour will be a lab in our warehouse where the students will be able to pull wire, bend pipe, and measure voltage and test outlets.  Students should expect to have fun. The young ones should have a blast wiring in circuits and learning all the different types of electrical work to be done out in the real world. The older students should leave with a new perspective on the electrical construction industry and hopefully leave wanting to search out other skilled trades to find what opportunities are available as the near entering the work force.  Students can come with questions pertaining to business, career, technician, troubleshooting, installations, anything really, they might have about the electrical construction industry.
