Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, sexting, drugs, alcohol, vaping, college visits, teen dating violence...there are so many potentially risky situations that teens face during the high school years. There are some essential strategies parents can use to help teens make healthy decisions.

This workshop will:

  • provide data on current trends in adolescent health and behaviors
  • map out some of the challenges that our teens might face
  • provide strategies parents can employ to help guide teens as they grow

Kate Mahoney is a licensed clinical social worker who has more than 30 years of experience working with teens and families, particularly in the areas of preventing and treating substance use disorders, promoting mental wellness and helping students with the transitions to high school and college.
